How to use

Four steps. About ten minutes a windscreen.

1. Shake well

Give the bottle a good shake to mix the compound.

2. Apply & polish

Apply to a damp applicator pad. Work into wet glass in firm circular motions.

3. Rinse & dry

Rinse the glass thoroughly and dry with a clean microfibre.

4. Do the water test

Spray water on the glass. If it sheets off flat, the film is gone.

Will it scratch my windscreen?

No. Cerium oxide is the standard polishing mineral used by professional glass restorers. It’s gently abrasive: enough to lift bonded film, not enough to mark glass.

How is this different from glass cleaner?

Glass cleaner removes loose dirt sitting on the surface. Oil film is bonded to the glass, so sprays slide straight over it. Decon Pro physically polishes it off.

How do I know it's worked?

Do the water test. Spray water on the glass: if it runs off in a flat, even sheet with no beading or dry patches, the film is gone.

Can I use it on side windows and mirrors?

Yes, on exterior glass. Use it anywhere you get smear or water spots: windscreen, side windows, rear glass and glass mirrors.

Can I use it on tinted windows or headlight lenses?

Use it on exterior glass only. Tint film sits on the inside of the window, and headlight lenses are usually plastic, so don’t use Decon Pro on either.

Do I need Hydro Shield as well?

Not required, but recommended. Decon Pro gets the glass back to clean. Hydro Shield then keeps it that way and makes rain bead off. Decon Pro is the prep step that lets Hydro Shield bond properly.

Is it safe to use around kids?

It’s water-based, low odour and not classified as hazardous under GHS (MSDS report E2512042522170). As with any car care product, avoid eye contact, wash your hands after use and store it out of reach of children.
